Whoever thinks that the cold early spring weather in the upper midwest is good for nothing is flat out wrong. Just ask anyone who surfs the Great Lakes. Be on the lookout for huge waves along the Lake Superior coast February through the end of spring. Surfers who brave the frigid water benefit from the huge waves winter winds bring. 4/3/12 - The Dallas, TX area got absolutely pummelled by golf ball size hail today. Someone in class today mentioned that were rudely awakened by hail during last night's storm. Imagine getting woken up by this stuff tearing through your tent on the family camping trip!



4/27/11 - Absolutely incredible footage of a EF4 tornado that tore straight through Tuscaloosa, AL last April. The tornado tracked right through the University.
